Produced from vineyards surrounding the medieval village of San Donato in Poggio, in the historic heart of Chianti Classico, Montecchio Chianti Classico DOCG 2023 is a classic expression of Tuscany's flagship grape, Sangiovese. The estate's hillside vineyards benefit from ideal elevations, excellent sun exposure, and centuries of winemaking tradition in a region officially protected since 1716. Aged in traditional large oak casks, this wine showcases the purity of Sangiovese with aromas of ripe red cherry, violet, and wild herbs, supported by vibrant acidity, refined tannins, and a long savoury finish. Elegant, versatile, and unmistakably Tuscan, it is a wine that reflects both the history and the enduring beauty of Chianti Classico.
