Fresh, approachable, and distinctly Graves, La Source de Chaim 2023 is a Kosher for Passover red — certified under the supervision of the Beit Din Massorti Européen and Rabbi Yeshaya Dalsace — crafted for immediate enjoyment without sacrificing authenticity. A hand-harvested blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot grown on clay and sandy-gravel soils, it shows a vivid carmine colour with ripe, intense aromas of red and black berries, opening onto a lively attack on the palate. Bright fruit, a supple texture, and classic Bordeaux balance define this versatile cuvée, making it equally at home on an everyday fine-dining list or poured by the glass.
The cuvée takes its name from Chaïm — Hebrew for "life" — in tribute to a father and grandfather who survived the Shoah, and to the enduring spirit of life that has carried through the family ever since. It's a fitting name for a wine crafted at the meeting point of terroir and tradition, born from a partnership between a wine-loving Jewish producer and a rabbi devoted to making an exceptional kosher cuvée.
Gentle extraction and a shorter aging regimen preserve that fruit-forward freshness, while minimal oak influence keeps the style supple, easy to pour, and food-friendly alongside roasted poultry, grilled meats, or classic bistro fare.
