Cuvée David 2023 is a Kosher for Passover red — certified under the supervision of the Beit Din Massorti Européen and Rabbi Yeshaya Dalsace — and Château Jouvente's tribute to the family patriarch, named for the father through whom the estate came into the family's hands. A blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Petit Verdot, hand-harvested from clay and sandy-gravel soils, it's vinified entirely in 400-litre oak barrels — as with a grand cru classé — and aged in those same barrels for 15 months, a cuvée built with real intention from the ground up.

From a vintage shaped by a cool summer and a warm late season, balancing power and finesse, the nose is generous and elegant, layered with morello cherries in syrup, wild plums, and exotic wood. The palate is ample and silky, carrying notes of black cherry, eucalyptus, and licorice through to a refined finish.

Exceptional in both its method of production and its quality, Cuvée David is as much a personal tribute as a technical one — crafted by the family as an expression of gratitude and love. It pairs beautifully with rib steak grilled over vine cuttings, herb-roasted duck breast, or a rich beef brisket with dried fruit.
